ECMWF WAM 0.25° ocean wave forecast

ECMWF’s WAM 0.25° product is a global numerical ocean-wave forecast from the Centre’s open real-time wave stream. It provides three-hourly fields on an approximately 25 km grid, is refreshed from four model runs per day and extends to 15 days. La Bouée uses its self-hosted Open-Meteo service to sample the gridded forecast at supported locations and expose wave height, period and direction. A forecast location is an interpolation from a model grid, not a measuring station. Coastal geometry and local bathymetry can be unresolved at 0.25°, and forecast uncertainty generally grows with lead time.
