NOAA is the United States federal agency responsible for understanding and predicting changes in climate, weather, the ocean and coasts. Its operational services include the National Data Buoy Center and the Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services. La Bouée identifies the specific NOAA product on each observation or tide location; inclusion does not imply NOAA endorsement.

The Queensland Government operates coastal monitoring programs that publish measured wave conditions from instrumented sites along the state coastline. La Bouée links supported stations to the official Queensland open-data records.
