In 2024 the port announced the upgrade of its weather station and wave recorder: a Datawell DWR-G buoy moored 800 m at 225° from the head of the south breakwater, publishing wave heights, periods, maxima and water temperature online, with the previous 24 hours of history. The port presents the system as a way to raise operational safety standards.
