NODASS

NODASS is Taiwan's national ocean data platform, run by the National Academy of Marine Research under the Ocean Affairs Council. In The Buoy, this source covers Taiwan.

NODASS was set up under Article 12 of Taiwan's Ocean Basic Law to bring marine data from many agencies onto a single platform, drawing on observations, satellites and models. The Buoy reads hourly reports from the buoys of the Central Weather Administration, the Water Resources Agency, the Institute of Harbor and Marine Technology and NAMR: wave height, period and direction, with wind, pressure and temperatures on most of them.
