KMA

KMA is South Korea's national meteorological service, which publishes observations from its moored buoys through the WMO Information System (WIS2). In The Buoy, this source covers South Korea.

KMA, under the Ministry of Environment, has the mission of offering prompt, accurate and valuable weather services. Its WIS2 record for moored buoys classes this data as WMO core data, exchanged free and unrestricted, and lists significant wave height, wind, pressure and sea-surface temperature. The Buoy reads its hourly reports around the Korean peninsula and Jeju.
