IMOS explains that the AODN operates the online infrastructure for Australian marine and climate data: it manages the IMOS data collection, augmented with data from universities, government agencies and industry, and it is an accredited IODE National Oceanographic Data Centre. IMOS also says that its data, like most AODN data, is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
